Power outages, lack of civic facilities cause of mental diseases

KARACHI: Lack of civic facilities, especially extended power outages are resulting in a rise in metal diseases in Karachi, say experts.
Director, Karachi Psychiatric Hospital, Syed Sallahuddin, Dr. Sajid Ali and others disclosed this at a free medical camp organized by the Karachi Psychiatric Hospital at the Race Course near Malir Cantt.
They said that the worsening law and order situation, joblessness, price hike and lack of civic facilities including electricity, gas and water were resulting in a rise of mental ailments amongst citizens.
They said the government should focus on solving these issues to facilitate citizens.
